Meet Casandra Tobias, the creative force behind Casa + Co., a Spartanburg-based jewelry brand that has quickly become a favorite for bold, statement-making pieces.
Casandra’s love of fashion started early. “As a little girl, I loved making beaded jewelry and fashion has always been a love of mine,” she shares. Years later, what began as tassel necklace-making with friends grew into something much bigger. “Friends started asking if I could make them a tassel necklace to purchase and that’s where this small business was born.”
Seasonal Sparkle
Fall happens to be Casandra’s favorite time of year, which shines through in her collections. “I love neutrals—creams, browns, and black! But I also love adding a little color to my wardrobe in the fall. Plum, reds, and greens are perfect for fall if you’re more a color girlie,” she says. And when asked to describe her pieces in the spirit of the season? Casandra doesn’t miss a beat: “Hauntingly beautiful pieces, with magic in every detail, and of course witchy chic.”
Inspiration Everywhere
Accessories have always been Casandra’s go-to for elevating any outfit. “Earrings and necklaces are a fav! They always spice up my outfits,” she explains. Inspiration for her designs comes from everywhere—seasonal color trends, her love of neutrals, and even input from those closest to her. “My daughter and my friends are my biggest fans and show my small business so much love. I love taking some ideas they have and making pieces to add to my page.”
Rooted in Community
Spartanburg has been more than just home for Casandra—it’s been the heart of her brand. “Our little town has the kindest people! If someone has purchased a Casa + Co. piece, they’re always so sweet to share my business with their friends and family,” she says. With deep roots in the community, Casandra and her husband are raising their three children here. “We have a village of people who love us well. So thankful!”
Balancing Beads & Busy Days
Like many small business owners (and busy moms), Casandra finds creative ways to blend work and family. “You can find me beading necklaces at the table while doing homework with my 4th grader in the afternoons and also while watching a show on the couch with my husband after a long day,” she laughs. Saturdays often become her dedicated Casa + Co. time. “This business is my little baby so I always try to make time!”
A Little Spooky, A Lot Stylish
If Casa + Co. were to throw a Halloween party, Casandra knows exactly what guests would leave with: “I’m thinking chunky black or brown beaded necklaces with some gold accents and a cutesy gold ghost charm.” For her own jewelry box, she can’t get enough of statement styles. “I am really loving my big chunky statement necklaces! They truly elevate my fit!”
And of course, with football season in full swing, she’s busy creating gameday-ready designs. “Gameday pieces are some of my fav to make this time of year. They’re so fun and you can wear them year after year!”
